The National Youth Cricket League, now in its 5th year, will conduct its national tournament between June 30 and July 7. The tournament is played in the T20 format and is extremely popular among academies and youth programs across the country. This year's tournament has also attracted teams from Canada.
The tournament, which will be played in five age categories - U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18, will feature
50 teams representing
19 academies or youth programs this year. Since its launch in 2014, the tournament has been hosted in Dallas (2014), St. Louis and Raleigh (2015) and in Houston and Minneapolis (2016). Last year's tournement, held in Connecticut and New Jersey, featured 45 teams. The 2014 inaugural edition of the tournament featured just 18 teams. The growth in participation in this tournament is a reflection of the overall growth in the popularity of the sport itself.

When: U12 and U16: June 30th - July 3rd; U10, U14 and U18 age-groups: July 5th to 8th
Cut-offs: U10 (9/1/2007), U12 (9/1/2005), U14 (9/1/2003), U16 (9/1/2001), U18 (9/1/1999) - Girls get a 2 year benefit i.e. U12 girls can play U10.
